! ~ <br />l <br />ORDINANCE NO.~_ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE WILLAMETTE GREENWAY; <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />The compliance requirements adopted by the Land Conservation <br />and Development Commission LCDC) on August 24, 1981 with respect <br />to the City's comprehensive planning program necessitate changes <br />in certain provisions of the City's zoning ordinance, including <br />an accurate reflection of the LCDC approved Willamette Greenway <br />boundary on the City's zoning map. <br />In order to achieve LCDC plan acknowledgment it is necessary <br />to implement the required changes, and the Planning Commission at <br />its January ll, 1982 meeting recommended that the LCDC approved <br />Willamette Greenway boundary be included and incorporated on the <br />City's zoning map. <br />Now, therefore, based upon the Planning Department staff notes <br />and the Planning Commission minutes of January ll, 1982, the hearing <br />before the Planning Commission and this Council, and the documents, <br />evidence and testimony presented, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incorpor- <br />ated herein, and upon the findings and reasons therefor set forth <br />in the Planning Department staff notes and Planning Commission min- <br />utes of January 11, 1982, which the Council specifically adopts <br />herein as additional findings, the zoning map of the City of Eugene <br />is hereby amended by noting thereon the Willamette Greenway boundary <br />as adopted by the State of Oregon Department of Transportation and <br />approved by the Land Conservation & Development Commission, as de- <br />picted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference. <br />Section 2. The Director of the City's Planning Department is <br />directed to effect such amendment and to cause notice thereof to <br />be provided to appropriate agencies and entities. <br />Section 3.
