ORDINANCE Na. 18935 <br />AN ORDINANCE .CONCERNING ASSAUZT AND BATTERY; <br />AMENDING SECTION 4.730 OF THE EUGENE CODE, <br />1971; AND DECZARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DQES 4RDAZN AS FOZLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 4.730 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended to read and provide: <br />4.730 Assault and Batter . <br />~1~ Battery. No person shall intentionally, knowingly, <br />or recklessly use any force upon another. <br />~2~ Assault. No person shall intentionally, knowingly, <br />or recklessly plane or attempt to place another person in fear <br />of an imminent battery as defined in subsection ~1~ above. <br />Section 2. That the provisions contained herein concern the <br />public welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby de- <br />Glared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective immedi- <br />ately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed by the City Council, this <br />24th day of February, 1982 <br />City Recor er <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />24th day of February, 1982 <br />Mayor <br />Ordinance. <br />
