AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 2~7.z15 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the,, ..City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the mater? al s trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- formance with the General Plan; there is a publ i c need far the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Caunci1 hereby adopts as its awn the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of December 1, 1981, and the Planning Commission minutes of December 1, 1981, ' for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ord i n.ance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fol 1 awi ng change of zone Tax Lot 14600--Assessor E s Map 17-03-312 1, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A ]orated on the west side of Washington between and 7th and 8th avenues.
