ORDINANCE NO. _~~_ <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF PERFORMING ARTS UNEARNED INCOME <br />.FUND; AMENDING SECTION 2.525 OF THE EUGENE CODE <br />1971; ADDING A NEW SECTION 2.529 TO THAT CODEā€¢ r <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />Except in the instances specified therein, section 2.52 <br />5 <br />of the Eugene Code, 1971, provides that no checks ' <br />exceeding <br />$3,000 per check and an aggregate sum of 10 <br />$ ,000 shall be a.ssued <br />in payment of City bills in the interval between ' <br />council <br />meetings. <br />Section 2.5251}4h} provides limited flexibilit in th <br />y e <br />payment of certain bills during weeks when the Council does <br />not <br />meet. <br />The Eugene Performing Arts Center re wires addition ' <br />~ al flexi- <br />bility for the payment of certain bills. It is es ' <br />tablished <br />industry practice that promoters, performers and cer ' <br />tarn vendors <br />are paid on the date of performance.
