Z 82-1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1895fi <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING ~iAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />AidD DECLARI~dG Aid EMERGE(dCY. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.fi68 <br />through 9.b84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Commission, the mater i a7 s trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Counci 1, the request for zone change c 1 assi f i cati on i s i n con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes <br />of March 9, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of larch 9, 1982, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 8.278 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the <br />zoning map an t e zoni ng ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the fo 1 lowi ng change of zone: <br />A portion of Tax Lots 7900, 8100, and 82o0--Assessor's Map 18-03-07-1 1, <br />as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located between <br />Portland and Willamette streets, south of 29th Avenue. <br />Chan e of zone from R-3 Multiple-Farm ly Resident? a1 District Tax Lots <br />9 <br />7904 and 81 O~7} and RW2/ 1 OA/SR Limited Multiple-Family District with a <br />density 1 i mi tati an of ten units per acre with Site Review Procedures <br />Tax Lot 8200 to C-2/SR Community Comr~erc~ al District with Site Review <br />~ • <br />Procedures, said Site Revvew procedures addressing concerns as set <br />forth in Exhibit B, attacheu. <br />Section 2 .
