Z 82-1 ORDINANCE NO. 1895fi AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING ~iAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON AidD DECLARI~dG Aid EMERGE(dCY. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.fi68 through 9.b84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Commission, the mater i a7 s trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Counci 1, the request for zone change c 1 assi f i cati on i s i n con- formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes of March 9, 1982, and the Planning Commission minutes of larch 9, 1982, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 8.278 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the zoning map an t e zoni ng ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to ref 1 ect the fo 1 lowi ng change of zone: A portion of Tax Lots 7900, 8100, and 82o0--Assessor's Map 18-03-07-1 1, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located between Portland and Willamette streets, south of 29th Avenue.
