F. 82-2 ORDINANCE NO. 18957 AN ORDINANCE COP~CERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY of EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 through 91684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibi]ity, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the Gity of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Cauncil, the request for zone change classification is in con- formance with the General P 1 an; there i s a pub 1 i c need for the change i n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes of March 2, 1..952, and the Planning Commission minutes of March 2, 1982, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone: Tax Lot 5400--Assessor's Map 17-04-26-2 1, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located east of Highway 99, northwest of Edison Street. Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to RA Suburban Residential District. Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached~to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, to show the foregoing ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
