F. 82-2 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 18957 <br />AN ORDINANCE COP~CERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY of EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 91684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibi]ity, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the Gity of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Cauncil, the request for zone change classification is in con- <br />formance with the General P 1 an; there i s a pub 1 i c need for the change i n zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes <br />of March 2, 1..952, and the Planning Commission minutes of March 2, 1982, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone: <br />Tax Lot 5400--Assessor's Map 17-04-26-2 1, as more particularly <br />described on the attached Exhibit A, located east of Highway 99, <br />northwest of Edison Street. <br />Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to RA Suburban <br />Residential District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached~to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, to show the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
