z 82-3 <br />ORDINANCE No. X8958 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLA55IFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL DF THE CITY OF EUGENE FII~US THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of OR5 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9,6~i8 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning c1 assi f i cati on of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; <br />and the pub 1 i c need can best be served by changing the c 1 ass i f i c ati on of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its awn the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of March 9, 1982, and the Planning Commission mi nudes of March 9, 1982, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owi ng change of zone: <br />Tax Lot 302--Assessor's Map 17-G4-36-2 4, as more particularly des- <br />cribed on the attached Exhibit A, located west of Chambers Street, on <br />the north side of West Broadway Avenue. <br />Change of zone from RGISR Garden Apartment Residential District with <br />Site Review procedures to M-21SR Light Industrial District with Site <br />Review procedures, said Site Review procedures addressing concerns as <br />set forth in Exhibit B, attached. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed <br />to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes <br />attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Gode, 1971, to show the foregoing <br />oRDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
