ORDINANCE N0. ~i~Q <br />AN ORDINANCE DISSOLVING THE COMMISSION NOW EXERCISING THE <br />POWERS OF THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, <br />TRANSFERRING SUCH POWERS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF EUGENE, ADDING SECTION 2.955 AND AMENDING SECTION 2.013 <br />OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />~1~ Resolution No. 1433 adopted by the Council an July 10, 1961, <br />created a commi ss i on to exercise tie powers of the Urban Renewal Agency <br />of the City of Eugene. <br />~2} Ordinance No. 18639 adopted by the Council on June 4, 1950, <br />increased the membership of the commission and reaffirmed the rovi si ons <br />s p <br />of Resolution Na. 1433 in all other respects. <br />~3~ ORS 457.045 and ORS 457.055 permit the Council to transfer the <br />authority to exercise the powers of the Urban Renewal Agency of the City <br />of Eugene from the commission now exercising those powers to the Council <br />itself. <br />~4} The Council desires to transfer such authority from the commission <br />to the Council. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The commission now exercising the powers of the Urban Renewal <br />Agency of the City of Eugene, is dissolved. <br />Section 2. Pursuant to ORS 457.445 and ORS 451.055, the following new <br />section is hereby added to the Eugene Code, 1971, to read and provide as <br />follows: <br />2.955.
