z 82-4 <br />ORDINANCE N0. <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP DF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of DRS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authorit <br />y <br />and responsibility, subject to the ]imitations contained therein, to chap e <br />the zon~n class~f~cat~ n f g <br />9 o a property w~th~n the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change cl ossification i s in con~- <br />form once with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; <br />and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of March 9, 19$2, and the Planning Commission minutes of March 9, 1982, the Cit <br />Council minutes of A ril 26 1 y <br />p 982, and the Planning Commission/City Council <br />findings and minutes of May 17, 1982, for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owl ng change of zone <br />Tax Lots 2300 and 2301--Assessor's Map 17~03~36-2 2, as more particularly <br />described on the attached Exhibit A, located on the southwest rside of 7th <br />Avenue Highway 99N} between 5th Avenue and 1th Place: <br />Change of zone from M-3 Heavy Industrial District to C-2 Community <br />Commercial District. <br />Section 2.
