l 82-9 ORDINANCE N0. ~ D a o AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL DF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9.278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zani ng and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith., and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of cl~ssi- fication is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need far the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi- f~ cation of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci i hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes of July 13, ] 982, and the Planning Commi ssi on~ mi nutes of July ] 3, 1982, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.275 and 8.625 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the zoning map, the sign d~str~ct map, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes anal the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fallowing change of zone and sign district: Tai lots 6100, 6101, and 6200--Assessor's Map i 7-04-36-3 4, 1 acated between the Amazon Channel and~l7th Avenue on the west side of Chambers Street. Change i n zone from RG Garden Apartment Residential District to RP Residential Professional District and a change i n the sign district from Residential Sign District to Professional-Office Sign District. Section 2 . The Planning Director be, and he i s hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map, the sign di s~tri ct map, the schedule of sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, i97i, to DRDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
