l 82-9 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~ D a o <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL DF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9.278 and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the <br />authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to <br />change the zani ng and sign district classification of property within the City <br />of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith., and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of cl~ssi- <br />fication is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need far the <br />change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi- <br />f~ cation of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci i hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes <br />of July 13, ] 982, and the Planning Commi ssi on~ mi nutes of July ] 3, 1982, for <br />the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.275 and 8.625 of the Eugene Cade, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign d~str~ct map, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes anal the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the fallowing change of zone and sign district: <br />Tai lots 6100, 6101, and 6200--Assessor's Map i 7-04-36-3 4, 1 acated <br />between the Amazon Channel and~l7th Avenue on the west side of <br />Chambers Street. <br />Change i n zone from RG Garden Apartment Residential District to RP <br />Residential Professional District and a change i n the sign district <br />from Residential Sign District to Professional-Office Sign District. <br />Section 2 . The Planning Director be, and he i s hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the zoning map, the sign di s~tri ct map, the schedule of sign <br />district classification changes attached to Chapter 8, and the zoning ordinance <br />schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, i97i, to <br />DRDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
