z ~z-1~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~' O <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Gauncil has the authority <br />and respansi bi ~ i ty, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein., to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the P.1 anni ng Cammi~ssi an, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this Council, the request far zone change classification is in conformance <br />with the General Plan; there is a public need far the change in zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the cl assi fi cati an of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staf f Hates <br />of Ju1y~ l ~, 1982, and the Pl anni'ng Cammi ssi on minutes of Ju1y~ 13, 1982, the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY 4F EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As .provided by Section 9,278 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the <br />zoning map~and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the fo11 awi ng change of zone : <br />Tax Lots 400, 500; 600, Tao, 701, 800, and 1200--Assessor's Map <br />17-04-36-22, as more .particularly described on the attached <br />Exhibit "A" ; 1 ocated~ west of Garf i e1 d between 6th and 7th Avenues . <br />Change of zone from M-2 Light Industrial District to C-2/SR <br />Community Commercial District with site review procedures <br />addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit "B'', attached. <br />Section 2.
