Z 79-4 ORDINANCE N0. ~~~T~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes of April 3, 1979, and the PI anni ng Commission minutes of Apri 1 3, 1919, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone: Tax Lot 29D0--Assessor's Map 17-04-36~-2 4, as more parti cut arty descr7 bed on the attached Exhibit "A", located at the southeast corner of 9th Avenue and Hayes Street: Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District to R-2 Limited Multiple-Family Resi denti a1 District. Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
