Z (79-8 ) <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS Z27. X15, Section 8.813, 9, Z78 and <br />9, 6b8 through 9, 584 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Counci 1 has the <br />authority and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 i mi tati ons contained therein to <br />change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the Ci t <br />of Eugene; y <br />• Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mi tied therew~ th, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Counci 1, the request far zone change and sign district than a of cl assi- <br />ficatian is in conformance wi g• <br />th the General P1 an, there ~ s a publ ~ c need for the <br />change in zone; and the public need can best be served by than in the classi- <br />ficat~on of the r g g <br />p operty; <br />• NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci 1 hereby adapts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes <br />of May 1, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of Ma 1 1979 for the <br />reasons set forth there.' y ' <br />~n, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1.
