1 <br />1 <br />J <br />Z (79-5) <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~~p <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.654 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and respansibi 1 ity, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance <br />with the General P1 an; there i s a public need for the change i n zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings cantai ned i n .the Planning Department staff notes <br />of May 1, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of May I, 1979, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone: <br />Tax Lot 1500--Assessor's Map 17-04-35-4 3 and Tax Lot 6600--Assessor's <br />Map 17-04-35-3 4 as more particularly described on the attached <br />Exhibit "A" located on the north side of West 15th Avenue between Buck <br />Street and Oakpatch Road. <br />Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District to R-2 PD <br />Limited Multiple Family Residential District with Planned Unit <br />Development Procedures. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district <br />changes. attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
