ORDINANCE N0, <br />AN ORDINANCE ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO BE <br />CONDUCTED BY THE LANE COUNTY ELECTION DEPARTMENT <br />1 ON THE 14TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1979, FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />SUBMITTING TO THE LEGAL VOTERS DF THE CITY OF <br />EUGENE A MEASURE AUTHORIZING THE EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br />TO LEVY' THROUGHQUT THE CITY $ 6 , 3 9 3 , 51 ~ MORE IN TAx <br />REVENUES THAN IS NOW AUTHORIZED BY THE OREGON CONSTI- <br />TUTION, ARTICLE xI, SECTION ll; ADOPTING POLLING <br />PLACES AND PRaVIDING FDR ALL ACTS NECESSARY FDR THE <br />CARRYING ON OF SAID ELECTIONS AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section ~1, The City Council does hereby order a special elec- <br />tion to be held in the City of Eugene, Oregon, concurrently with the <br />Lane Caunty special election on Tuesday, August 14, 1979, at which elec- <br />tion there shall ~e submitted to .the electors of the City far their <br />approval, ar rejection the following measure, to-wit: <br />MEASURE NO, 51 <br />MEASURE SUBMITTED TO THE <br />VOTERS BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />A MEASURE <br />Authorizing the City Council to levy for the City in <br />general $6,393,510 more in tax revenues than the City is <br />authorized to raise throughout the City by taxation within <br />the six percent limitation upon the City's tax levy as con- <br />tained in Article xI, Section 11, of the Constitution of <br />the State of Oregon. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />BE IT ENACTED BY THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, <br />OREGON <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
