18'~4l <br />Section 3. A hearing shall be held upon the pxoposal to vacate <br />the alley as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held on the <br />15th day of August, 1979, at noon, Pacific Daylight Time of said date, <br />at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, oregon, at which time <br />all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with regard <br />to the vacation, and at said time the Council will provide for the <br />vacation of the alley or deny such vacation, and in case the vacation <br />is made, will provide and make provision for any damages sustained by <br />local assessment. <br />Section 4. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immediately <br />publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper pub- <br />lisped in Eugene, Zane County,oregon, a notice of the proposed vaca- <br />tion. The notice shall give a description of the area to be vacated <br />as herein set out; state the date when this ordinance was passed, the <br />name of any petitioners petitioning for the vacation, and the date <br />when the petition, together with any objections or remonstrances which <br />may be made in writing and filed with the Recorder of the City of <br />Eugene prior to the date of the hearing will be heard and considered. <br />Section 5. The City Recorder shall forthwith and within five <br />days after the first publication of the notice post, or cause to be <br />posted, at ar near each end of the proposed vacation a copy of the <br />foregoing, which shall be headed "~~otice of Alley Vacation", and <br />which notice shall be posted in at least two conspicuous places in <br />or on the area proposed to be ~racated. <br />The posting and the first day of publ%~a~ion a~ the notice shall <br />be not less than twent~r-eight ~2 8 ~ days before the time set f or~ hearing.. <br />Passed by theCity ~ Council th%s <br />th day of suly, 1979 <br />City Reco deg <br />approved by the May x this <br />of July, 79 <br />_~ <br />Mayor <br />ordinance - 2. <br />
