SDBC 19w1 ORDINANCE NQ. _~gy r3 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Section S.S13 through S.S45 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the si gn~ district cl assi fi cati ans of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the P1 anni ng Commi ssi on~, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Counci ~ , the request far sign district change of classification is i n conformance w7 th the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section 8.830 of the Eugene Code, 1971. NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affi~rmati ve findings cantai ned i n the Planning Department Staff Notes of June 5, 1979, and the Punning Commission minutes of June 5, 1919, for the reasons set forth herein, and ~ .
