SDBC 79-2 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~~_ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION <br />AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, <br />OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Section 8.813 through <br />8.845 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the sign district c1 assi fi cati ons of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Council , the request for sign district change of c1 assi fi cati on i s i n <br />conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section <br />8.530 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own <br />the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff <br />Notes of June 5, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of June 5, 1979, for <br />the reasons set forth herein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 8.625 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the <br />sign district map and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of sign district <br />Tax Lots 7300, 7301, 8440, 8401--Assessor's Map 17-~04-22-3 2 Zoned <br />RR Suburban Residential pistrict}, and Tax Lots 3705; 3106, 3740; 3741, <br />3742; 3743, 3800; 3900; 3901; 4000, 1731; 1732; 1733; 1600--Assessor's Map <br />17-04-21-4 1 Zoned RA Suburban Residential District} , as more particularly <br />described on the attached Exhibit "A,"located east and west of Echo <br />Hollow Road between Fu11er and Marshall streets. <br />Sign District Boundary Change from Outlying Commercial District to Resi- <br />dential District. <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district <br />classification changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show <br />the foregai ng change of classification of area and to note thereon the rule with <br />respect to building in the appropriate classification. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
