AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP DF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Section 8.513 through. 8.845 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene; .Based upon the report of the PI anni ng Commission, the materials trans m7tted therewith, and~the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council , the request for sign district change of classification i s i n conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Cade as required by Section $.830. of the Eugene Cade, 1971. NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its, own, the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes of dune 5, 1979, and the Pianning Commission minutes of June 5, 1979, far the reasons set forth herein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 8,525 of the Eugene Cade, 1911, the sign district map and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of sign ,district : Tax Lot ..1574a~-~As ses sor' s Map 11~o3-3Q~-3 2 ~ Zoned RP Residential Prafes-- si Dual Di stri c~t } , as more particularly described on the attached Exhi bi t "A," located at the northeast corner of West 1st Avenue and Madison Street . . Sign District Boundary Change from Industrial District to Residential District. ~ ~ . Section 2. The PI anni ng Director be, and he i s hereby a-uthori zed and .directed to cause the sign district map and the schedule of sign district classification changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Cade, 1911, to show the foregoing change of c1 assi fi cati on of area and to note thereon the rule with respect to building i n the appropriate classification.
