THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.ZI5 and Section 8.813 through ..5.845 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority . and responsi b ~ l ~ ty, subject to the ~ ~ i mi tat i ons costa ~ ned therein, to change .the sign district classifications of property within the CT ty of Eugene= ~~ ~ . Based upon the report of the P] anni ng Commission, the mater? al s trans muted therewith, and the eviBence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council , the request for sign district change of classification i s i n conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required , by Section 8.830 of the Eugene Cade, 1971. , NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon'the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its awn ~. the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department Staff Hates of June 5, .1979, and the Pi anni ng Commission minutes, of June 5, 1979, for the .reasons set forth herein, and . THE CITY OF~EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
