ORDINANCE NO. ~I~-~a An Ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described railroad easement, to-wit: Railroad Easement on Lots 5 and 6 Block 1, on Lots 1 through 7 Block 2 and on Lots 1, 2 and 3 Block 4 Universal Park as platted and recorded in Book 48, Page 12 of the Lane County Oregon Plat Records. ~ Ev 7 9--7 Scofield ~ THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: ' Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein initiates the vacation proceedings on its own authority without petition or consent of the property owners, except as provided by statute, of the above described railroad easement. Section 2. A hearing shall be held upon the proposal to vacate the railroad easement as herein provided, and the hearing shall be held on the 19th day of September, 1979, at noon, Pacific Daylight Savings Time of said date, at the Council Chambers at City Hall, Eugene, Oregon, at which time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with regard to the vacation, and at said time the Council will provide for the vacation of the railroad easement or deny such vacation, and in case the vacation is made, will provide and make provision for any damages sustained by local assessment, Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immedi-~ ately publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of the proposed vacation.
