ORDINANCE NO. ~I~-~a <br />An Ordinance initiating the vacation of the following described <br />railroad easement, to-wit: <br />Railroad Easement on Lots 5 and 6 Block 1, on Lots 1 <br />through 7 Block 2 and on Lots 1, 2 and 3 Block 4 <br />Universal Park as platted and recorded in Book 48, <br />Page 12 of the Lane County Oregon Plat Records. <br />~ Ev 7 9--7 Scofield ~ <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />' Section 1. The City Council of the City of Eugene herein <br />initiates the vacation proceedings on its own authority without <br />petition or consent of the property owners, except as provided by <br />statute, of the above described railroad easement. <br />Section 2. A hearing shall be held upon the proposal to <br />vacate the railroad easement as herein provided, and the hearing <br />shall be held on the 19th day of September, 1979, at noon, Pacific <br />Daylight Savings Time of said date, at the Council Chambers at <br />City Hall, Eugene, Oregon, at which time all persons will be <br />heard upon objections or suggestions with regard to the vacation, <br />and at said time the Council will provide for the vacation of the <br />railroad easement or deny such vacation, and in case the vacation <br />is made, will provide and make provision for any damages sustained <br />by local assessment, <br />Section 3. The City Recorder is hereby directed to immedi-~ <br />ately publish once each week for four consecutive weeks in a <br />newspaper published in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, notice of the <br />proposed vacation.
