ORDINANCE NO. ~f1g <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SKATEBOARDS AND ROLLER-- <br />SKATES; AMENDING SECTION 5.565 OF THE EUGENE <br />CODE, 1971; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY aF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS. <br />Section 1. Section 5.565 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by renumbering the present s~.bsecti,on ~ 2 } to ~ 4 } , and adding <br />a new subsection (2) and (3) thereto, to provide: <br />5.565 vehicles in Mall - prohibited. <br />~l} No person shall ride a bicycle in the Eugene Pedes- <br />trian Mall. <br />~2} No person shall ride or use a skateboard in the <br />Eugene Pedestrian Mall. <br />~3} No person shall ride or use rollerskates in the <br />Eugene Pedestrian Mall. <br />~4} Except for vehicles of the fire department, police <br />department, and .maintenance operations of the city, no person <br />shall operate a motor vehicle within the Eugene Pedestrian Mall <br />without having obtained a permit from the,city engineer as pro- <br />vided in this chapter. <br />Section 2.
