Z 7917 <br />• ORDINANCE N0. g 9l0 <br />AN ORDNANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND. <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 2~7,~15, Section 9.78 and 9.665 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; . <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans <br />mined therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance <br />with the General Pl an ~. there i s a public need for the change i n zone; and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained i n the Pi anni ng Department staff notes <br />of July 10, 1919, and the Planning Commission minutes of July 10, 1919, for the <br />reasons set forth therein, and . <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.78 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of di strict .changes are hereby <br />amended to .reflect the fal l o~~~i ng change of zone: <br />Tax Lots 7400, 7500, 7600, 7700, 7500, 5700, ssoo, and 5900~wAssessor`s <br />Map 17~04~36-3 1, as more particularly described on attached Exhibit "A," <br />located on the block between Chambers and Grant streets and 12th and lath <br />avenues: <br />Change of zone from R-1 Single-Family Residential District to RM~ Limited <br />Multiple-Family District. <br />Seetian 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district <br />changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1911, to show the foregoing <br />oRDINANCE~-Page 1 of 2 <br />
