Z 7917 • ORDINANCE N0. g 9l0 AN ORDNANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND. AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 2~7,~15, Section 9.78 and 9.665 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; . Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans mined therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance with the General Pl an ~. there i s a public need for the change i n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Pi anni ng Department staff notes of July 10, 1919, and the Planning Commission minutes of July 10, 1919, for the reasons set forth therein, and . THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.78 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of di strict .changes are hereby amended to .reflect the fal l o~~~i ng change of zone: Tax Lots 7400, 7500, 7600, 7700, 7500, 5700, ssoo, and 5900~wAssessor`s Map 17~04~36-3 1, as more particularly described on attached Exhibit "A," located on the block between Chambers and Grant streets and 12th and lath avenues: Change of zone from R-1 Single-Family Residential District to RM~ Limited Multiple-Family District.
