ORDINANCE NO. 1 ~5~3 <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR WITHDRAW2NG FROM THE <br />R2VER ROAD WATER DISTRICT OF LANE COUNTY, OREGON, <br />THAT PART OF THE DISTRICT ANNExED TO THE CITY OF <br />EUGENE BY FINAL ORDER N0. 633 OF THE LANE COUNTY <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT BQUNDARY COMMISSION qN JUNE 12, <br />1979; AND DECLARING. AN EMERGENCY <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene by Resolution No. 3234 <br />adopted on ,~epte~ber 5, 19 79 proposed withdrawal from theRiver Road <br />Water District of that part of the District annexed to the City on <br />June 12, 1979, by Final Order No. 633 of the Lane County Local <br />Government Boundary Commission, as hereinafter described. <br />The Resolution set September l9, 1979 at 12:OD o'clock noon, <br />Pacific Daylight Time, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, in Eugene, <br />Oregon, as the time and place for hearing objections to the withdrawal, <br />and directed that notice of the. time and place of the hearing be pub- <br />fished once. each week for two consecutive weeks prior to the hearin <br />g <br />and be posted in foux public places in the City for the. same period. <br />The Notice has been so published in the Eugene Register Guard <br />and posted in four public places in the City, to~wit: 0n the bulletin <br />board at the City Hall in the City of Eugene, Oregon; on the bulletin <br />board located on the east side of oak Street where Oak and Park Streets <br />intersect; on the bulletin board on the northwest corner of the inter- <br />section of 8th Avenue and Oak Street; and on the bulletin board in <br />the first floor lobby of the Lane County Courthouse, all in the City of <br />Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, <br />The City desires to assume liability of the District proportionate <br />to the part of the District that has been annexed to the City. <br />Nc~ party has objected to the withdrawal of the annexed territory <br />from the .District and it is in the best interest of the City that the <br />Ordinance ~- 1 <br />
