z 79-22 ORDINANCE N0. ~$~j~d~] AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING~THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; Pursuant to the provis?ons of CRS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.b68 through 9,5,84 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject t~a the 1 imitations contained therein, to change the zani ng classification of property within the City of Eugene; Barad upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials transw mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the P] anni ng Commission and this Council , the revuest for zone change cl assi fi cati an i s i n conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need far the change in zone; and the public need can~best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its awn the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department .staff notes of July 24, 1979, and the Planning Commission minutes of July Z4, 1979, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOti~S; Section 1. As provided by Section 9:278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning rnap and the zoning ardi Hance schedule of district changes are hereby amended. to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone: Portion of Tax Lat 3000 and portion of Tax Lat 2944-~-Assessor's. Map 17-O4W34, and portion of Tax Lat 1100--Assessor's Map 17-04w35, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", 1 ocated north of Stewart Road and east of Bailey Hi 11 Road. Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District and M-3 Heavy industrial District to M-1 /SR Limited Industrial District with Site Review procedures, said site review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in Exhibit "B," attached. 4 Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he i s hereby authorized and directe to cause the zoning map and' the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the. foregoing oRDINANCE-~wPage 1 of 2
