<br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
<br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
<br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
<br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.668
<br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
<br />and responsibility, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change
<br />the zone ng c1 assn f~ cats on of property within the City of Eugene;
<br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commi ssi on, the materials trans-
<br />mitted therewith, and the ev7dence presented before the Planning Commission
<br />and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance
<br />with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in lane; and the
<br />publ ~ c need can best be served by changing the c1 assi fi cati an of the property;
<br />NOI~, THEREFORE,
<br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
<br />specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes
<br />of September 4, 1979, and the Planning Commi ssi on minutes of September 4, 1979,
<br />for the reasons set forth therein, and
<br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOI~S:
<br />Section ~. As provided,by Section 9.218 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the
<br />zoning map an t e zoning ordnance schedule of district changes are hereby
<br />amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change of zone:
<br />Tax Lots 4040, 4100, 4200, 4600, 600, 100, 500, 1100, 1200, 28x0,
<br />2900, 3000, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3500, 3640, 300, 3800, 3900, 6300,
<br />6400, 6600, 6704, 6800, 6900, 7000--Assessor's Map 17-03-30-4 4, as
<br />more partTCU1 arty described on the attached Exhibit A, 1 orated in
<br />the East Butte D1str~ct of the Wh~teaker Neighborhood between Skinner
<br />Butte Park and High Street, south of the vacated east-west all ey
<br />south of Cheshire Street and north of the east-west alley north
<br />of 4th Avenue.
<br />Change of zone from R-2 Limited Mul ti p1 e-Family Residential District
<br />and RG Garden Apartment District to R-2/20A Limited Mu1 ti p1 e-Family
<br />Residential District with a maximum density of 20 units per acre.
<br />Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he i s hereby authorized and
<br />directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district
<br />changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing
