z 7925 ORDINANCE N0. 53 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: .Pursuant to the .provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.278 and 9.65$ through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; . Based upon the report of the Planning Commi ssi an, the .materials trans- r~i tted therewith, and the evidence .presented before the Planning Cor~mi ss.i on and this Council, the request for zone change classification is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone;. and the - - ~ ~ public .need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; . ~ NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes ~of October 2, 1919, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 2, 1979, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY DF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section x.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of~district changes are hereby .amended to reflect the following change of zone: Tax Lot 7o1-~-Assessor's Map 17-0320-~4 1, as more particul arty . described on attached Exhibit A, located north~of Bailey Lane and . east of the eastern teminus of Cal Young Road. . Change of zone from ~RA Suburban Residential District to R~-2 Limited Multiple-Family Residential District. Section 2.
