z 7926 QRDINANCE N0. ~~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON! THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY DF EUGENE FINDS THAT: . Pursuant to the provisions of DRS 227.215, Section S.$13, 9.278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of .the Eugene Code, 1972, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Comr~i ss i on, the materials transw mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classi~ ~fication~is in conformance with the General Plan;. there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classi~- . fication of the property; ~ . . ~~ - - ~ ~ ~ ~ NOW, THEREFaRE; Based upon. the foregoing, the~City Caunc~l hereby adopts as its awn the ~~ ~ ~ specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes of October 2,..1919, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 2, 1979, for the reasons set forth.therein, and . THE CITY DF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 and 8.625 of the Eugene Code, 191.1, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: Tax Lots 2900 and 28D2-~-Assessors s Map 17-fl3-29--3 D, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located on the south side of Centennial Boulevard directly across from the West end of Centennial Loa . P .,Change of zone fro« R~3 Multiple~Family Residential District and PL Public Land to CM2 Community Commercia] District and change of sign district fror~ Residential to Dutlyi ng Commercial Sign ,District.
