7 X79-~n~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. $~~ ~}U <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 8.813, 9.278 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and <br />responsibility, subject to the ~l imi tat ions contained therein, to change the <br />zoning and sign district classification of property within. the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classi- <br />f i cati on is in conformance with the General Pl an9 there is a publ i c need for the <br />change i n zone; and the pub 1 i c need can best be served by ch an4i nq the c l as s i - <br />f icatian of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department Staff Notes <br />of November 6, 1919, and the Planning Commi ss ian minutes of November 6, 1979, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.215 and 5.625 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedul e <br />of d ~ str i ct changes and the sign code schedu 1 e of district changes are hereby <br />amended to ref 1 ect the fo 1 l owi ng change of zone and sign district ; <br />Tax Lot 15400--Assessor's Map 17-04-36-1 1 as mare particularly <br />described on the attached Exhibit "A" located on the northwest <br />corner of West 8th Avenue and Van Buren Street; Tax Lot 13900-- <br />Assessor's Map 17-04-36-1,4, as mare particularly described on <br />the attached Exhibit "A", 1 orated on the northwest corner of West <br />11th Avenue and Tyler Street; and Tax Lat 800--Assessor's Map <br />17-03-31-3 2 as more particularly described on the attached' <br />Exh`i b i t "A" located on the east side of Munroe Street between 11t h <br />and 12th avenues. <br />Change of zone from R-2 Limited Mu 1 t ipl e-Family Residential <br />District and RG Garden Apartment ,Residential District to C-I/SR <br />Neighborhood Commercial District with Site Review Procedures, said <br />site review procedures addressing concerns as set forth in attached <br />Exhibit "B" . <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
