z ~4~1 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~~ ~Q <br />AN DRDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP 4F THE CITY GF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215, Section 9.215 and 9.668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsi bi 1 i ty, subject to the 1 imitations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materi a1 s trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Cammission <br />and this Council, the request far zone change classification is in conformance <br />with the General Plan; there i s a publ i c need for the change i n zone a and the <br />public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upan the foregoing, the City Council hereby adapts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings captained in the Planning Department staff notes <br />of January 22, 1950, and the Planning Commission minutes of January 22, 1980, <br />for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FDLL4WS: <br />Sect ion 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the <br />zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended _ to ref 1 ect the fo 11 owi ng change of zone : <br />Tax Lots 604, 740, 840--Assessor's Map 17--44-36-1 1: <br />As more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A located west of <br />B1 ai r Boulevard, east of Polk Street, betweer~ 4th and 5th avenues , <br />Change of zone from C-2 Community Commercial District to R-~2114A Limited <br />Multiple-Family Residential District with a maximum density of 14 units <br />per. acre . <br />Section 2. The Planning Director be, and he is hereby authorized and <br />directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district <br />changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to Shaw the faregoi ng <br />change of classification of area and to Hate thereon the rule with respect <br />to building in the appropriate classification. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
