In proposi~g the new base, the Council does not in- <br />tend to immediately levy taxes to the full amount possible <br />under the new base, but instead intends to be limited by <br />the Charter Amendment submitted as a companion measure <br />(Measure No. 511... <br />Section' 4 ~ Thi,s .measure sh~ll become effective July <br />1, 1980. <br /> <br />Section 2. The proposed measures shall be placed upon the <br />official ballot by the City Recorder.. There shall be furnished <br />to the County Clerk for Lane County a certified copy of the ballot <br />titles for the measures and nmooers of the measures to be voted <br />upon. The City Attorney shall prepare and the City Recorder shall <br />furnish the ballot titles for the measures and direct that the <br />County Clerk for Lane County place the measures upon the r~gular <br />ballot to be used at the Lane County special election to be held <br />on May 20, 1980, to be voted upon by the electors of the City at <br />the special City election. <br />Section 3. The necessary poll books, ballot boxes, tally <br />sheets and such othe'r s.upplies for each. p.recinct as are necessary <br />for the carryi~g on of the election shall be furnished by the <br />County Clerk for Lane County, and the supplie~ shall, be delivered <br />to the Election Board. <br /> <br />Ordinance - 4 <br />
