S L S AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY DF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.275, and 9.665 through 9.684 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibi~ ity, subject to the ~ imitations contained therein, to change the. zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Cammi ssi on and this City Caunci ~ , the request far zone change and sign district change o~f - classification i s i n conformance with the General Pi an; there i s a pubs i s need far the change i n zone; .and the ~ publ i c need can. best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, - Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as its own the' . ~ specific affirmative findings contained i n the Pl anni ng~ Depart~ent staff notes `~ of March 4, 195D, and the Planning Commission minutes of March 4, 198x, for the . reasons set forth therein, and ~~.~.
