If,Measure is approved, operating budget of Dis- trict to be financed by taxation on ownership of real prop-~ erty in District for Tax Year 1980-8~. wi11 be $1.8,172 mare than operating budget so financed in preceding year. Section 2. If voters approve this Measure, the Down- town Development Hoar will be able to continue to provide FREE parking for patrons of .the Downtown area. The cost far providing this service is paid partly by taxat~.on on property owners within the Downtown Development District boundaries and is not supported by taxes outside these boun- daries. If this Measure is approved, all of the tax will be financed by District taxpayers without any partial a ment AY by the State. The. need for additional revenue is due pri- marily to inflation and need for more parking spaces within the District. Section 3. This. Measure shall become effective July 1, 1980.
