ORDINANCE N0. ~~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provi si.ons of ORS 221. Zl 5 and Sections 9.2'8 and 9, 668 throw h 9, 684 of t~~e Eugene Code, ~ 971, the City Counci 1 has the authority g and respons~b7l qty, subaect to the l ~m7tat~ans canta~ned ther~e~ n, to change the zoning cl ass i,fi cati on of property within the City of Eugene g Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council , the request for zone change classification i s in con- formance with the General Plan ; there i s a publ i c need far the change i n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW n ,THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the Planning Depart~~ent staff notes of July 8, 1984, and the Planning Commi ssi on minutes of July 8, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and ~ ~~ THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: 5ecti on l . As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, l 971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fol 1 owi ng change ~ of zone Tax Lots 219 ~ and 22Q----Assessor's Map 1704--33, as mere particularly described on the attached Exhibit"A" located south of 7th Avenue, . ~ north of the Amazon Channel , east of Bel tl i ne Road. Change of zone from M- Heavy-Industrial District to M~2 L i ghtw Industrial District. Section 2.
