sDBC 8a-~ ORDINANCE N0. ~70~ AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: . Pursuant to. the provisions of 4RS 221, ~~ 5 and Secti ans 8. Sl3 through 8.845 of the Eugene Code, ~ 9?~ , the City Counci ~ has the authari ty and responsi bi ~ i ty, ~ sub jest. to the 1 ~ mi tati ons contained therein, to change the sign district classifications of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the mater? a1 s trans- mi tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this Counci ~ , the request for sign district change of classification i s i n conformance with the intent and purpose of the Sign Code as required by Section 8.834 of the Eugene Code, 1971, NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the faregoi ng, the City Counci 1 hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained i n the. Planning Department staff notes o~f July 8, 1980, and the Planning Commission r~inutes of July 8, 198C, for the reasons set forth herein, and . THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section : l . As provided by Section 8.525 of the Eugene Cade, ~ 971, the sign di st~ri ct map and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby .amended to reflect the following change of sign di strict. .
