ORDINANCE NO. ~L~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING PARKING; ESTABLISHING <br />CERTAIN FEES; AMENDING SECTIQNS 5.010, 5.040, <br />5.232, 5.275, 5.250 AND 5.255 CF THE EUGENE <br />CGDE, 1971; ADDING SECTION 5.335 TO THAT CODE; <br />REPEALING SECTIONS 2, 3 AND 4 OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />18554; PROVIDING EFFECTIVE DATES; AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 5.010 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by inserting in alphabetical order the following words and <br />their accompanying meanings: <br />5.010 <br />Car Qol. Three or more individuals who commute <br />to and from .work together in a single vehicle on a <br />regular basis at least four days each week. <br />Ride--share. Two individuals who commute to and <br />from work together in a single vehicle on a regular <br />basis at least four days each week. <br />Section 2, Subparagraph 4, of subsection ~.f~ of Section 5.040 <br />of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby amended to provide: <br />5.040 Duties of the,,,,, C„lty Manager. The city manager or his <br />designate shall exerGise~the following duties by admin- <br />istrative actions: <br />~_f} Establish, maintain, remove, or alter the <br />following classes of traffic controls: <br />4. Parking areas and time limitations, <br />including the form of permissible parl~ing and <br />any fees therefor. <br />Section 3. Subsection ~3~ of Section 5.232 of the Eugene Cade, <br />19?l, is hereby amended to provide: <br />5.232 Prohibited Parking in Downtown Development District. <br />~3} Except on a Sunday or holiday or upon conditions <br />and payment of charges or rates establ~.shed in this chapter, <br />no such person may, while in his place of employment, while in <br />his residence, or while in such a hotel or motel, park a motor <br />vehicle between 9 a.~n. and 6 p.m, an any day in an on-street <br />Ordinance -- 1 <br />
