(H 80-4) <br />ORDINANCE N0. ~L~ <br />AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE FAIRMOUNT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH <br />A HISTORIC LANDMARK WITHIN THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to Sections 2.402, 2.407, and 2.408 of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations <br />contained therein, to designate certain buildings, structures, other physical <br />objects, including their sites, and geographic areas within the City as Historic <br />Landmarks , <br />Based upon the report received from the Historic Review Board, the <br />materials that have been transmitted therewith, and the evidence presented <br />before the Historic Review Board and this council, the application for designa- <br />tion as a Historic Landmark is consistent with applicable statewide and <br />locally adopted plans, and the Fairmount Presbyterian Church, including its <br />site, far which Historic Landmark designation has been requested meets one ar <br />more of the criteria required for Historic Landmark designation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Historic Review Board staff <br />notes and minutes of September 25, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, <br />and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Under authority of Section 2,408 of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />the Fairmount Presbyterian Church, including its site, which is located on the <br />fo11 owi ng described real property ,i s hereby designated as a Hi stor i c Landmark . <br />Tax Lots 21 and 22, B1 ock 12, amended p1 at of Fai rmaunt, as p1 atted and <br />recorded in Volume 25, page 289, in Lane County, Oregon, Deed Records, <br />in Lane County, Oregon. <br />Section 2, The Fairmount Presbyterian Church, including its site, shall <br />be controlled by the restrictions set forth in Exhibit "A" and by Sections 2.409 <br />through 2,411 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
