<br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
<br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
<br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY DF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
<br />_ Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668
<br />t hraugh 9.654 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority
<br />and responsibility, subject to the lirnitatians contained therein, to change
<br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
<br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans-
<br />mi tted therewith, and the .evidence presented .before the Planning Commission
<br />and this City Council,,the request for zone change classification is~in con-
<br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public .need for the change in zone;
<br />and the public need can best be served by changing the' classification of the
<br />property;
<br />"NOW, ~ THEREFORE,
<br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its o~~~n the
<br />specific affirmative findings, contained in the Planning Department staff notes
<br />of staff Hates of May 6, May l9, June .9, June 23, and September 22, 1980,
<br />and the P1 anning Carnmi ssion minutes of ~~ay 6, May 19, June 9, June 23, and
<br />September 22, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and
<br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
<br />Section 1. As provided by .Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the
<br />zoning ,ap and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby
<br />amended to reflect the following change of zone:
<br />Tax Lots 1501, 1503, 1504, 1505, 1506, 15D7, 1508, 1509, 1510, 1511, 1512,
<br />1513, 160 and that ,portion of Tax Lot 1500 south of the proposed extenw
<br />Sion of Atlantic Avenuew-Assessor's Map 17-04-2 5. Tax Lots 400, Sao,
<br />600, 800, 801, 900, 901, 902, 1001, 1003, 1005, 1006, 1007, loos, 1009, .
<br />1010, 1011, 1012, ,1013, 1014, 1015, 1016, 1017, 1018, 1019,, 1a20, 12ao,
<br />X202, 1~D3, 1301, 1302, 1303, 1304, 1305, 1306, 1307, 1348, 1309, 1310,
<br />1311, 1312, 1313, 1314, 1400, 1500, and l5Ol~-Assessor's Map 17-D4-3 3 as
<br />more particulary described on the attached Exhibit A. Located generally
<br />north of West ~llth Avenue, south of 1st Avenue, between Terry Street to
<br />Beltl ine Road,
<br />Change of zone from M--3 Heavy ~Industri al District to M-2 Light Industrial
<br />District .
