<br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND
<br />AMENDING THE ZONING MAP of THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON
<br />THE CITY CDUNCIE 4F THE CITY DF EUGENE FINDS THAT:
<br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.fifi8
<br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1911, the City Council has the authority
<br />and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change
<br />the zoning classification of property within the City of Eugene;
<br />.,
<br />Based upon the report of the Pl anni nq Commission, the materials trans--~
<br />.mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission
<br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in cones
<br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need far the change in pane;
<br />aid the publ ic, need. can best be served by changing the c1 assif ication of the
<br />property; ~ .
<br />NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the
<br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes
<br />of May 6, May 19, June 9, June 23, and September~22, 1980, and the Planning
<br />Commission minutes of May 6, May 19, June 9,` June 23, and September 22,. 1980,
<br />for the reasons set forth therein, and
