z 80-24 <br />ORDINANCE N0. ? 3S <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT: <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9,668 <br />through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authorit <br />and responsibi1it sub'ect to the 1i y <br />y~ .~ mutations contained therein, to change <br />the zoning class~f~cat7on of property within the City of Eu ene; <br />9 <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />m~tted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission <br />and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- <br />formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the than a in zone• <br />and the ublic need can best b q ' <br />p e served by changing the classification of the <br />property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the <br />specific affirmative findings contained in the Plannin De artment staff not <br />of October 7 1980 g p es <br />and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, 1980, <br />for the reasons set forth there7n, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Cade, 1971 the <br />zoning map and the zon~nq ordinance schedule of district changes are hereb <br />amended to reflect the fol lowin ch y <br />q ange of lone: <br />Tax Lats 3598, 3599, and 36OOw-Assessor's Map 17-03-31-2 2, as more <br />part7cularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located on the south <br />side of 5th Avenue between Adams and Monroe streets. <br />Change of zone from C-2 Community Commercial District to R-3 Multi 1e~ <br />Fami 1 Residential Di t p <br />y s r7ct. <br />Section 2.
