~ ~n-~~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. ! $730 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT <br />CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP AND SIGN <br />DISTRICT MAP DF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; <br />Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and <br />9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority <br />and responsibility, sub,~ect to the limitations contained therein, to than e the <br />9 <br />zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; <br />Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- <br />mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and <br />this City Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of <br />classification i s in conformance with the General P1 an; there is a publ is need <br />for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the <br />c 1 as s i f i c at i an of the property; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own <br />the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff <br />notes of October 7, 19$O, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, <br />1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES aRDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, ~As provided by Sections 9.278 and 8.,625 of the Eugene Cade, <br />1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule <br />of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby <br />amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: <br />Tax Lot Sol--Assessor's Map 17-04-27-1 3, as more particularly des- <br />cribed on the attached Exhibit A, located on the east side of Waite <br />Street south of Elmira Road. <br />Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District to M-2 Light <br />industrial District, and a ch ange of s i qn district from Res iden- <br />tial District to Industrial District, <br />ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2 <br />
