~ ~n-~~ ORDINANCE N0. ! $730 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP DF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, sub,~ect to the limitations contained therein, to than e the 9 zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classification i s in conformance with the General P1 an; there is a publ is need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the c 1 as s i f i c at i an of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of October 7, 19$O, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES aRDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1, ~As provided by Sections 9.278 and 8.,625 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the zoning map, the sign district map, and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes and the sign code schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the following change of zone and sign district: Tax Lot Sol--Assessor's Map 17-04-27-1 3, as more particularly des- cribed on the attached Exhibit A, located on the east side of Waite Street south of Elmira Road. Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential District to M-2 Light industrial District, and a ch ange of s i qn district from Res iden- tial District to Industrial District, ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
