Z 80-29 ORDINANCE N0. 3 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY of EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9.278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to than e . 9 the zoning class~f~cat~on of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request far zone change classification is in con- formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; ' NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of Dctober.7, 198x, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, 1980, far the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to reflect the fallowing change of zone: Tax Lots 9504 and 9100--Assessor's Map 11-03-31-2 4, as more par- ticularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located on the south- east corner of 10th Avenue and Washington Street, Change of zone from R-3 Multiple-Family Residential District to MU Mixed-Use District. Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map. and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1911, to show the foregoing , ~~ ORDINANCE--Page 1 of 2
