Z 80-27 ORDINANCE N0. ~ 7 3 AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND s AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227.215 and Sections 9,278 and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change the zon i nq c 1 as s i f i c at i an of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change classification is in con- formance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the classification of the property; NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of October 1, 1980, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.278 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to ref 1 ect the f o 11 owi ng ch ange of zone Tax Lots 11800 and~12300--Assessor's Map 17-04-36-2 4, as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit A, located on the south side of West 14th Avenue between Grant and Hayes streets. Change of zone from RA Suburban Residential .District to RG Garden Apartment District. ~~ Section 2. The Planning Director be and is hereby authorized and directed to cause the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes attached to Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971, to show the foregoing ORDINANCE--Page ~ of 2
