2 80-25 ORDINANCE N0. '' AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE AND SIGN DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AND SIGN DISTRICT MAP OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE FINDS THAT; Pursuant to the provisions of OR5 227.215 and Sections 8.813, 9.278, and 9.668 through 9.684 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Council has the authority and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein to than e the q zoning and sign district classification of property within the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission, the materials trans- mitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and this City Council, the request for zone change and sign district change of classification is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a public need for the change in zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the c 1 as s i f i c at i on of the property; 4 NOW, THEREFORE, Based upon the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its awn the specific affirmative findings contained in the Planning Department staff notes of October 7, 1980, and the Planning Commission minutes of October 7, 1980, for the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.
