AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LAND USE CLASSIFICATION AND AMENDING THE zONING MAP OF THE CITY OF .EUGENE, OREGON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY aF EUGENE FINDS THAT: Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 227,215, Section 9..21$ and 9.55$ . through 9.6$4 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, the City Council has the autharit y and responsibility, subject to the limitations contained therein, to change .the zoning classification of property wi thi n~ the City of Eugene; Based upon the report of the Planning Commission the materials transmitted therewith, and the evidence presented before the Planning Commission and ~thi s Council., the request. for zone change classification is in conformance with the General Plan; there is a ublic need for the ~. P . change 7n zone; and the public need can best be served by changing the c~ assi f i cati on of the property; ~~ NOW, THEREFORE, ~~ Based upon.the foregoing, the City Council hereby adopts as its own the specs f ~ c off 7 rmati ve findings contained i n the Planning Department staff notes of November 4 ~, 19$0, and the P1 anni ng Cor~mi ssi on minutes of November 4, 1980, the reasons set forth therein, and THE CITY OF EUGENE~DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. As provided by Section 9.275 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the zoning map and the zoning ordinance schedule of district changes are hereby amended to~ ref 1 ect the fol 1 owl ng change of zone: Tax Lots 3140, 3804, 4001, and 6100-~~Asse~s.sor's Ma l x--04-254 1 p as more particularly described on the attached Exhibit "A", located :. north of Railroad Boulevard and west of Grand Street Change of from C-2/SR. Community Commercial District with Site Review procedures to R-~2 Limited Multiple-Family Residential ~D~str~ct Tax Lot 6100 and change of zone from M~2 Light Industrial District to R--2 Li m7 ted Multiple--Family Res i denti a1 District Tax Lots 3140, 3800, 4001 Section 2.
