Other Background Information <br />Staff has been meeting with representatives of EWEB and McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center on a <br />continuing basis. Most recently, the executive directors from Planning and Development, Public Works, <br />and Fire, along with the City Manager and Assistant City Manager, met with McKenzie-Willamette and <br />Triad representatives on June 2, 2004. <br /> <br />Timing <br />Access improvements would be phased in a manner so as to coincide with the completion of the <br />hospital. <br /> <br />OPTIONS <br />The council may approve or not approve the suggested motion. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the council approve the suggested motion. <br /> <br />S[IGGESTED MOTION <br />Move to authorize the City Manager to inform McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center that the City is <br />willing to undertake construction of the two transportation projects outlined in the Agenda Item <br />Summary if Triad constructs at the EWEB site a hospital with a value of not less than $85 million. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />A.
