PIIOLIOi iIOIIKSF iOT$11££T <br />PBOPOSED flEI/ISIONS TO EUGENE SYSTEMS DEVELOPMENT CHARGES <br />The City of Eugene collects Systems Development Charges (SDCs) for four general types of <br />infrastructure: wastewater, transportation, parks, and stormwater. SDCs are one-time fees collected <br />when building permits are issued and are used to fund that portion of the cost of constructing eligible <br />infrastructure needed to respond to growth impacts in the community and where applicable to recoup a <br />portion of the community's investment in the infrastructure already in place. The proposed revisions do <br />not affect property taxes or utility fees and must be consistent with ORS 223.297 - 223.314. This fact <br />sheet provides information about the following changes, which will become effective September 15, 1999: <br /> Revised local wastewater SDC methodology and rote structure <br /> · Adoption of revised regional wastewater SDC rates and credits <br /> · Construction Inflation adjustments to the transportation, stormwater, and parks SDCs <br /> <br />Who Participated in the Review of the Local OPPORTUNITIES FOR PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Wastewater SDC methodology? <br />A department advisory committee was formed in Public comments on the administrative order <br />1998 to review and advise the Public Works establishing the proposed revisions to the local~ <br />Department.
