STAFF RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City of Eugene adopt the proposed resolution adopting the 2004 MWMC Facilities Plan and 20-Year Project List as adopted by MWMC on May 6, 2004. The Regional Wastewater Program staff has had significant ongoing involvement in the development of the Facilities Plan and project list, and continual guidance from the commission, as well as input from public hearings, during this year-long planning process. The "preferred" Alternative 5 approved by the commission in the 2004 MWMC Facilities Plan has been identified as the most cost-effective plan as it has the lowest capital costs to achieve permit compliance and maximizes the use and effectiveness of the existing facilities. SUGGESTED MOTION Move to adopt Resolution 4793 adopting the 2004 Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission Facilities Plan and 20-Year Project List for the Eugene-Springfield Regional Wastewater Treatment Facilities.
