ATTACHMENT 4 — <br />September 10, 2009 <br />City of Coburg <br />PO Box 8316 <br />Coburg, Oregon 97408 <br />Subject: Proposed amendment to the Eugene- Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan <br />(Metro Plan) adopting coordinated population forecasts prepared by Lane County for Eugene <br />and Springfield <br />Honorable Mayor <br />City Council Members. <br />On August 17, 2009 you received a letter from the planning directors of Eugene, Springfield and <br />Lane Couuty that included a statement of intent to amend the Metro Plan to add new population <br />forecasts for each city; a copy of the proposed text that would be included in Chapter I, <br />Introduction and Purpose Section of the Metro Plan; and the time, data and location of joint <br />public hearings before the planning commissions and the elected officials of Eugene; Springfield <br />snd Lane County to hear testimony on this proposed amendment. <br />Tins letter is intended to inform you that the joiut planning commissions conducted a hearing on <br />September 1, 2009 and at the conclusion of that hearing recommended that the elected officials <br />adopt revised text and forecast table that includes the years 2031, 2032, 2033 and 2034.
