November 16, 2009
Good Evening!
My name is Sue Prichard. I live at 2671 Emerald, in the Amazon neighborhood.
I was one of the 2 co-chairs of the Infill Compatibility Standards TT, and although the TT
ing to you tonight from that
perspective.
I will only testify once tonight, but my comments are general in nature, and apply to all
three topics.
I want to thank you for the important role that you played in creating the TT and the
support you have given us to this point. I had no idea we would be standing here 2 years
generated. While commitment to our goal statement was unanimous, opinions on the
details varied, as you can imagine. The fact that 2 years have passed and we are just
beginning to bring our work to you is an indication of the challenging work we took on.
The amount of work, expertise, research, discussion and meeting time spent on these
topics is nothing short of astounding.
So here we are with the first products of our work. They are ripe. They are ready. They
have been through the mill and anticipated opposition and support have weighed in.
Real, factual data has been collected in order to form a basis for the recommendations. A
broad range of opinions have been considered to come to agreement on the final form
And most importantly, major compromises have already been made by all sides to get to
this point.
I know that I am preaching to the choir, but I encourage you, and ask you, to pay
attention to the facts, rather than to the emotion.
When passions run high, as they do on these issues, dire predictions are thrown about by
udents or the non-
profit organizations. To the extent that you can use the factual data that is included in
these recommendations as a basis for your decisions, we will end up with a more durable
result.
Thank you for giving us this opportunity.
